Hey guys!

Can we just stop to talk about Lupita Nyoung'o please? For those of you who don't know who Lupita is, she is an oscar winning actress.

She looked gorgeous at the Oscars and I truly love what she said at the end of her speech. I see posts about her going around Pinterest, and I think she is an icon or role model to a lot of the girls out there now. Here's what she said:

I think it's absolutely gorgeous, though when I heard her say that, I thought her word choice was a bit odd. I mean really? Valid? There's got to be a better word, right? But after a bit I fell in love with her quote even though I think that her choice of the word valid was a bit odd, but that's a good thing because so many people strive to be different and that small word makes her unique. No one that I can think of -- aside for her -- would use the word valid in that sentence, so I think it's beautiful that she did. Plus the message is just absolutely gorgeous in general.

After I got over the word valid, I was honestly truly touched because so many people that I know keep telling me that my dreams are pointless and ridiculous. My dreams is that one thing that I can't stand people insulting and when she said that it just truly made me happy because I felt like she was talking to me specifically as I'm sure several others felt. Anyways, I just wanted to share that. You go girl! ;)

So I've seen this going around recently and after taking a look at some people's goals, I've decided on doing my own. And by this I mean "monthly goals". I've decided to set up categories for myself so that I have at least one goal per category each month.

I missed Monday again! Woops. :P Anyways, Musical Monday is a weekly linky party held by My So-Called Chaos. This week's Musical Monday is focused on the song Ordinary Love by U2. I found out about it from the Oscars, and I just absolutely love it! It's in tribute to Nelson Mandela.

Monthly Item

Hey guys!

So I've started this new thing called the Monthly Item, which you can see on the right sidebar. At the beginning of every month, I'll put up a new item. These items are basically things that I love and find amazing with the link for you to buy it! :D

This month's item is the Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 Instant Film Camera. I don't actually have one but it's on my wishlist. It's a polaroid camera which I want so badly! A couple of my friends have this so, I know it's good since I've used it myself. Check it out if you feel like it. :D

SUDAN!

Hey guys!

So I just got the word from my parents today, I'm moving to Sudan! At the end of the school year that is, which is June. So yay! New place. We'll be staying there until I graduate. We're actually gonna have a house. I haven't had a house since I was 3! I'm so excited. AND I GET TO PAINT MY ROOM! This is the best news I've heard since I got my cats. ^_^ I FINALLY GET TO PAINT MY ROOM! You have no idea how excited I am. I know it seems ridiculous, but this is honestly huge to me. Plus we'll actually get to travel to places aside for to the US & Thailand. I'll keep you posted. :)
